Catalina grew up climbing in Durango, Colorado, learning from her coach and mentor Marcus Garcia starting from the age of 12. Outside of competition ice climbing, she also enjoys sport climbing, desert climbing, and working as a coach and professional guide. Notable Achievements: In 2024, Catalina became the first US athlete to podium in lead at a World Cup, winning a silver medal in Cheongsong, South Korea. Since then, she has expanded her collection to include 4 UIAA World Cup medals in lead, and 7 in speed.
